Damning new ACORN video from California

In this episode, our heroes James and Hannah travel to California to bust the west coast division of ACORN. I am thinking that these 'community organizers' have received their last federal dollar. Not sure how they are going to afford all those defense lawyers with no money in the till. Then again, that is not my problem.

The big takeaway here is not even that ACORN is a bunch of criminals, it is that it took two conservative investigative journalists to do the job of the entire main stream media. Looks like a Pulitzer might be in order.

California - Illegal Immigration - Don't Blame the Immigrants - The System is Fucked Up

California, California…the state that I love….issues and all. One of those issues is *Illegal Immigration*. Here’s my take on the subject. Illegal Immigrants are taking advantage of the system/s that California created. Who’s fault is that? If you were from a broke ass country, wouldn’t you try to do the same thing?

Peep this, California courts ruled that the taxpayers had to pay for social services such as education and health care for illegals, even though illegals are NOT citizens and have no right to the privileges of citizenship. Are you fucking serious?!? What part of Illegal don’t they understand? It’s hard enough trying to pay for our own HealthCare.

From scragged.com

The problem with California isn't that they have immigrants per se; as the Economist pointed out, Texas has plenty of immigrants. The trouble is California's immigrant-funding attitude. If immigrants can pull their own weight and pay for their own selves and their needs, they benefit the state budget instead of harming it. Unfortunately, California decided to extend to immigrants the same rights, benefits, and privileges as citizens, without holding them to the same obligation to obey and fund the law - leading to today's budgetary collapse.

Immigrants who follow the laws and pay their own way, as countless millions have done over three centuries, are and always will be welcome. Immigrants who arrive in violation of the laws and with a hand out expecting benefits, though, have no place here. Their presence can only lead to disaster.

Who’s fault is it for not controlling Illegal Immigration?

Who’s fault is it for allowing *Anchor Babies*?

Who’s fault is it for having Sanctuary Cities?

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that it’s not the Illegal Immigrants fault. They’re just taking advantage of a faulty system and who can blame them. All California has to do is pull it’s head out of it’s ass and get it’s shit together.

Legalize Marijuana – It’s Time for California to Grow Up

Marijuana prohibition sucks. Alcohol is legal, but weed aint?! Come on man, how stupid is that? How many people are killed due to alcohol each year? I’ll answer that. Hella people get killed each year due to alcohol use. On the other hand, Marijuana helps the economy. Smoke some good Purple and what do people do? Chill out, watch a movie or whatever and go BUY some food. See, helps the economy. California could be the first state to do things differently. Fuck the Feds. The good people of California voted to legalize Medicinal Marijuana, but the Feds still want to fuck with the operators of the establishments who provide the service. Makes absolutely no sense. California could not legalize marijuana unless the federal government alters its current prohibition, which appears unlikely.

Again, fuck the Feds. "It's time to acknowledge that marijuana prohibition has been a catastrophic failure and we need a new approach," said Aaron Smith of the Marijuana Policy Project's California branch. Peep game, more marijuana is grown in California than any other state. It's already the state's biggest cash crop--it's just not legal. Here’s the deal, California has a major industry operating under the radar…a black market so to speak.

California could legalize marijuana and reap the financial benefits. The majority of people already know marijuana is waaay less dangerous than alcohol which provides hella taxes for the state of California. There are so many people in jails and prisons for marijuana possession….it’s just ridiculous. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco has introduced legislation for the legalization of marijuana for recreational use. The only thing I don’t dig about his bill is the $50 per ounce tax. Damn, $50 dollars.

You can get a nice chunky eighth for $50!!! My folx can get a fat ounce of Bomb for about $350…maybe a lil less. The $50 tax is too much, but the idea of legalization and taxation is right on track. Let’s use some common sense and stop making the selling and smoking of Marijuana a criminal activity.

California should be a leader and show the rest of the country how to get down. The federal government never gets ANYTHING right. So again, fuck the Feds. THEY need to smoke some of this West Coast Bomb and chill out. Ya’ feel me?

Bodies stack up as California counts cost of funerals

Bodies left unclaimed, cadavers stacked high in morgues and burial rates tumbling as loved ones cut funeral costs: the crippling recession is even haunting the dead across the United States.

In Los Angeles, the local coroner's office has witnessed an unprecedented spike in the number of corpses unclaimed by families who cannot afford the costs of a burial or cremation.

"The reason we are hearing from the families is the economic downturn," Los Angeles County Coroner's chief investigator Craig Harvey told AFP. "They tell us they don't have the means to afford funerals."

Anger follows California budget crisis deal

Anger over proposals to solve California's budget crisis are mounting as reports said the plan would see thousands of prisoners released and billions slashed from education spending.

The Los Angeles Times reported on its website that the budget deal, announced by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and bipartisan lawmakers on Monday, would involve the early release of thousands of inmates.

California budget deal to free 27,000 inmates

By Michael Rothfeld and Patrick McGreevy
July 22, 2009
Reporting from Sacramento -- Less than 24 hours after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and legislative leaders announced a plan to close California's massive budget deficit, Los Angeles County officials moved to sue the state, a union for government workers said it might strike, and Republicans threatened to back out of the deal over a provision to cut the number of prison inmates by 27,000.

The governor largely stayed out of sight, except for posting a brief video on Twitter in which he played with a big knife and talked about autographing state property to be sold at auction to raise extra money. Legislative leaders, meanwhile, began to brief their members, and staff started compiling a formal proposal in anticipation of a vote that could occur Thursday.

Quake, tsunami potential high on U.S. west coast

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Scientists have underestimated the potential for a giant quake and tsunami that could swamp much the U.S. northwest and Canadian west coasts, British and U.S. researchers said on Monday.

Geological evidence suggests there have been earthquakes in the past that were even stronger than a magnitude 9.2 quake -- the second-biggest ever recorded -- which caused a 42-foot-high (12-meter-high) tsunami in the Gulf of Alaska in 1964, they said.

"Our data indicate that two major earthquakes have struck Alaska in the last 1,500 years and our findings show that a bigger earthquake and a more destructive tsunami than the 1964 event are possible in the future," Ian Shennan, a professor of geography at Britain's Durham University, who led the study, said in a statement.

"The region has been hit by large, single-event earthquakes and tsunamis before, and our evidence indicates that multiple and more extensive ruptures can happen."

For their study, the teams at Durham, the University of Utah and Plafker Geohazard Consultants studied subsoil samples and sediments from the Alaskan coast and found evidence of major disasters 900 years ago and 1,500 years ago.

Are People Considered Homophobes If They Chose Not to Support the Gay Agenda?

Even though curiosity killed the cat….I’m still curious about this Hot Button issue. From the outside looking in, it would seem people are labeled Homophobic if they don’t support homosexuality. Which I think is quite fucked up. When the people of California voted on Prop 8….The Gay Community didn’t & still doesn’t respect the vote. One thing we learn as children and everybody should know this by now is…..We don’t always get our way & Things don’t always work out as you had planned. Period dot. Overall, the majority of Californians are not down with Homosexuality and all it entails. They, meaning the Homosexuals don’t want to respect the rights of others and are willing to try to force their views on anybody within earshot. All I can say is, grow the fuck up. Stop crying and whining. In this situation, nobody’s *Rights* are being trampled. If anything they (The Gay Community) need to respect the rights of others….oh, and respect the vote.
